Governor Greg Abbott’s Small Business Division, in conjunction with the San Angelo Development Corporation have announced the 2015 Small Business Forum to be held in the San Angelo’s McNease Convention Center Oct. 27.
The Governor’s Small Business Forum connects veterans and small business entrepreneurs with the tools, training, and resources needed to succeed in today's business market. "One of the most crucial things that many entrepreneurs lack knowledge of is where, how, and when to seek the capital they need to thrive." said COSA-DC director Roland Pena. "So we have put together a panel of experts to educate the small business owners and answer their questions."
Titled "Access to Capital”, the seminar offers an overview of various different funding options available to entrepreneurs and small business owners such as start-up funding, alternative financing options, SBA loan guarantees, and tips on what the banker is looking for.
Panelists will include local bankers Lorreta Floyd-President Prosperity Bank, Chris Dawson-Senior Vice President Crockett National Bank, and Albert Rodriguez-Tom Green County Revolving Loan Fund. Space and accommodations will limited to 200 attendees. Small business owners from throughout the region are invited to attend, on a first come first serve basis. Contributing Forum hosts include: San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, Concho Valley Workforce Development, Angelo State University - SBDC, Howard College, and the Texas Veterans Entrepreneur Program.
