Ballinger Man Killed in Crash on Saturday

 

BALLINGER, TX — A Ballinger man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday evening.

Anthony Miguel Leija, 33, lost control of his Chevy Silverado on County Road 287 about 6 miles west of Ballinger, according to a Department of Public Safety report.

The vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason, and the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn into a field.

The crash, which occurred at about 8:35 p.m., ejected the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt.

Leija was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Justice of the Peace Lane Pinckney.
