COLEMAN, TX — A man wanted on multiple warrants was taken into custody Saturday night without incident, according to the Coleman Police Department.
Robert Mack Walters, 44, of Coleman, was arrested after eluding officers for two days. Law enforcement officials said Walters had fled on foot Thursday afternoon as officers attempted to arrest him on outstanding warrants.
Walters is charged with injury to an elderly individual, a third-degree felony, and terroristic threat of a family member, a Class B misdemeanor. Additional charges are pending.
Police described Walters as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with a shaved head, green eyes and numerous tattoos, including his last name tattooed on his chest. At the time of his flight, he was wearing a red T-shirt, ball cap, blue jeans and boots.
Authorities had urged residents to avoid approaching Walters and instead call 911 if spotted, describing him as dangerous. Citizens were also advised to remove keys from vehicles, secure valuables, and keep doors locked during the search.
Coleman police confirmed Walters’ arrest at 8 p.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported.
