WWE, Big 12 to Bring Friday Night Smackdown to Big 12 Markets

FRISCO, TX — WWE and the Big 12 Conference announced Wednesday an expansion of their partnership that will bring Friday Night SmackDown to four Big 12 markets during the 2025 college football season.

The crossover promotion will kick off Aug. 22 in Dublin, Ireland, at 3Arena — the night before Iowa State and Kansas State open the 30th year of Big 12 Football in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium.

The full schedule includes:

  • Aug. 22 – SmackDown at 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland (Iowa State vs. Kansas State on Aug. 23)

  • Oct. 3 – SmackDown at Heritage Bank Center, Cincinnati, Ohio (Iowa State at Cincinnati on Oct. 4)

  • Oct. 24 – SmackDown at Mullet Arena, Tempe, Arizona (Houston at Arizona State on Oct. 25)

  • Oct. 31 – SmackDown at Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah (Cincinnati at Utah on Nov. 1)

The partnership, which began earlier this year, merges sports entertainment with college athletics, giving fans a weekend-long experience in key Big 12 cities.
