SAN ANGELO, TX — A storm system northeast of San Angelo is expected to remain east of the city limits, with no flooding anticipated at this time, according to information shared by the San Angelo Police Department on behalf of the National Weather Service.
Sgt. John Bouligny, with the department’s Public Safety Communications division, advised that rainfall totals between one-quarter and one-half inch are possible on the east side of the city. The storm pattern is fast moving and not expected to become stationary.
Dispatchers have been encouraged to inform residents of the forecast in an effort to help calm concerns.
“At this time there is not an expectation of flooding with this system inside the city limits,” Bouligny said in an internal email sent Sunday afternoon.
