‘The Daytripper’ Visits Coleman in Latest Episode Highlighting Texas Businesses and Attractions

COLEMAN, TX — The Texas travel series "The Daytripper" recently featured the town of Coleman in a new episode that includes stops at several businesses, dining spots, and recreational areas.

The episode, which premiered Monday, is part of Season 15 and marks another installment in host Chet Garner’s ongoing tour of Texas towns.

Locations featured in the Coleman episode include:

  • Cattle Drive Cafe, serving regional dishes like “Cowboy Sushi.”

  • The Owl Pharmacy, a 1923 establishment that operates with a traditional soda fountain.

  • Wicked Wick Candle Shop, known for its handmade candle selections, with unconventional scents. 

  • Watson Vineyards, which shares the owner’s transition from military service to award winning winemaking.

  • Jackalopes Golf and Games, offering mini-golf and arcade-style entertainment.

  • Hords Creek Lake, shown as a destination for outdoor activities.

The episode also references Coleman’s 19th-century role as a cattle drive supply stop.

In 2023, The Daytripper featured San Angelo in Season 7, Episode 8, which included segments on Fort Concho, Miss Hattie’s Bordello Museum, the Concho River, and public art installations around town.
