WATCH: San Angelo Faithful Gather for Candlelight Vigil for the Uvalde School Shooting Victims

SAN ANGELO –  The Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart held a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening in San Angelo for the victims of the Robb Elementary School Shooting that took place on Tuesday, May 24.

Salvador Ramos, an 18-year-old from Uvalde, shot his grandmother in the face, drove and crashed her truck near Robb Elementary School, entered the school, and killed 21 people, most of whom were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students. Two teachers were shot and killed as well.

Sacred Heart had a table set up with 21 name plates for the victims and an empty plate for Ramos who was killed by police inside the school.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a statement about the Robb Elementary School Shooting and this morning, released a statement on the response to the shooting.
