WATCH: Air Tankers Called in to Fight Wildfire in McCulloch County

BRADY, TX – The wildfire in McCulloch County continues to burn and is now up 6,000 acres. 

As previously reported, on July 14, volunteers from around the area were dispatched to assist the Brady fire department with a grass fire that jump across state highway 377. Here is the story: Volunteers Fighting Grass Fires in Tom Green and McCulloch Counties

Then the following morning the Fort McKavett VFD gave an exclusive look from inside of the truck. 

Now the Texas A&M Forest Service's Air Tankers have been called in help crews fight the fire. According to the Texas A&M Forest Service the fire is now 6,000 acres and only 30% contained. 

The TFS have taken over fighting the fire and has sent all the volunteer fire departments home.
