WATCH: Bringing More Than Stories To Life During Coronavirus Pandemic

SAN ANGELO, TX -- In this current coronavirus pandemic teachers are not only having to adjust to instructing students on a virtual platform but to make curriculum fun and interesting at the same time.

Robert Lee native and current 1st-grade teacher Nicole Torres at Wink-Loving ISD about an hour west of Odessa is taking to Facebook in reading to her students daily.

"I hope that these kids will forget about everything going on," said Torres. "And remember that 'hey I can open up a book and I can go on an adventure and forget about everything else and learn something new.' "

According to Torres the response to her daily stories on Facebook has been an experience like none other. Watch the video above for more.
