Sterling County Sheriff's Office to Auction Seized Pumpjacks

 

STERLING CITY, TX — The Sterling County Sheriff's Office will sell four pumpjacks and related oilfield equipment at public auction July 7 to satisfy a judgment from the District Court of Sterling County. 

The sale, authorized by a writ of execution, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the north door of the Sterling County Courthouse, 609 4th Street. 

The equipment was seized June 8 and is located at 7th Avenue and Private Road 403 in Sterling City. 

The items are described as:
• Weatherford 640-365-168, serial No. M16.04E-271012-5998XZ
• Weatherford D456-365-144, serial No. 1798
• Lufkin 320D 256-120, serial No. D101909P-462727
• Weatherford 456-305-144, serial No. M114.00IA-240911-4140 

Sheriff Russell Irby issued the notice of sale on June 9. The property will be sold for cash to the highest bidder, conveying all right, title and interest of the defendants. 

The sale is subject to any redemption rights held by the defendants or other interested parties under Texas law, with proceeds applied to the judgment, interest, penalties and costs.
