Schedule for The 68th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater

SWEETWATER, TX— The Rattlesnake Roundup has begun in Sweetwater.

San Angelo is gearing up for the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo but about 75 minutes north, the 68th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup has started at the Nolan County Coliseum, located at 220 Coliseum Drive, in Sweetwater, Texas.

The schedule of events is as follows:

Friday, March 13th, 2026

• 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Doors open

• 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: The Sweetwater Rifle & Pistol Club Gun, Knife, and Coin Show

• 10:00 a.m.: Guided Hunt

• 2:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: Carnival

Saturday, March 14, 2026

• 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Doors open

• 8:00 a.m.: Cookoff

• 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.: The Sweetwater Rifle & Pistol Club Gun, Knife, and Coin Show

• 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 a.m.: Carnival

• 10:00 a.m.: Guided Hunt

• 5:00 p.m.: Cookoff Awards

• 7:00 p.m.: Dance at the Jaycee Barn at 307 West 4th Street

Sunday, March 15, 2026

• 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.: Doors open

• 9:00 a.m.: 4:00 p.m.: The Sweetwater Rifle & Pistol Club Gun, Knife, and Coin Show

• 10:00 a.m.: Guided Hunt

• 12:00 p.m.: 9:00 p.m.: Carnival

• 2:00 p.m.: Snake Eating Contest

• 2:30 p.m.: Beard Contest

• 3:00 p.m.: Most Pounds of Snake

• 3:30 p.m.: Longest Snake

Tickets to the event are:

Rattlesnake Roundup

• Adult: $15

• Active/Retired Military: $10 (with valid military ID)

• Kids 5-12: $10

• Under 4: Free

• Adults: $5

• Children under 12: Free when accompanied by parent

Carnival

• All Day Pass: $40 (all you can ride)
