Texas Man Sues Fast-Food Restaurant for Onions on Burger

HOUSTON, TX — A Houston man is suing Whataburger after he says he had an allergic reaction from onions on his burger.

Demery Ardell Wilson claims he requested to have no onions on his burger during a visit to the fast-food restaurant July 24, 2024, according to court documents.

However, onions were placed on his burger, and Wilson bit into them.

He claims he had to seek medical care and suffered “serious personal injuries” from the onions.

Wilson is seeking monetary relief over $250,000 but less than $1 million.

Wilson also sued another fast-food business, Sonic, for including onions on his burger. That case is expected to go to a jury trial.

Sounds to me like this guy is a scam artist. I don't like tomatoes on my burgers, not because I'm allergic but I just don't care for them. I always check to make sure they cut the tomatoes. I suspect most folks are like me. This guy has two different lawsuits for onions on his burger. You would have to be a real idiot not to check for onions especially if you are allergic to them.

Looks like the idiot might get paid big money for being allergic to onions. The least we can do is donate some sympathy and credulity to his plight — all of which are free.
