Man Killed After Being Struck by Train in Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX — A man was struck and killed by a train Tuesday afternoon in Abilene.

According to the Abilene Police Department, the man was walking along the railroad tracks when he was hit at about 1:45 p.m. near the Shelton Street crossover.

The train was stopped and blocking several crossovers until investigators were able to clear the scene.

The victim’s identification is being withheld until next of kin is notified, police stated.
