O.H. Ivie Ranked No. 2 Bass Fishing Destination in the U.S.

SAN ANGELO, TX — O.H. Ivie Lake, located about an hour east of San Angelo, has been named the No. 2 bass fishing destination in the country for 2025 by FishingBooker.

The announcement comes ahead of Bass Week 2025, a nationwide event spotlighting top fishing locations across the United States. FishingBooker, an online platform connecting anglers with guides, ranked the lake high on its list due to its reputation for producing trophy-sized bass and its popularity among tournament anglers.

O.H. Ivie is a reservoir on the Colorado River and has become a go-to spot for anglers looking to land bass over 10 pounds, even during the winter months.

The lake placed second on FishingBooker’s top 10 list, following the St. Lawrence River in New York. Other destinations included Lake Fork, Texas (No. 8), Lake St. Clair, Michigan (No. 4), and the California Delta (No. 3).

FishingBooker has operated since 2013 and offers over 47,000 fishing trips in more than 2,200 destinations worldwide.
