LIBERTY, TX — Bryan Kendrick, the City of San Angelo’s Director of Human Resources and Risk Management, has accepted a new job as the City Manager for the town of Liberty in southeast Texas.
Kendrick has been with the City of San Angelo for 16 years, including the last six in his current position, with an annual salary of $156,500. It is unknown how much he will be paid in his new position.
He previously worked in finance and as a city clerk with the City of San Angelo. He also worked for two years in finance with the City of Dallas.
Liberty is a town of about 8,300 between Houston and Beaumont.
Kendrick told the town’s local newspaper, the Bluebonnet News, that he currently manages a nearly $20 million budget in San Angelo.
He also said he expects to start his new job between mid-February and early March after fulfilling his requirements with the City of San Angelo.
