Infant Formula Sold at H-E-B and CVS Recalled Over Elevated Vitamin D Levels

SAN ANGELO, TX — Perrigo Company has issued a voluntary recall of specific batches of Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder due to elevated levels of vitamin D.

The affected products were sold at H-E-B and CVS stores across Texas and several other states, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall impacts three lot codes of the formula, with a total of 16,500 cans being pulled from shelves.

Routine testing revealed vitamin D levels in these batches exceeded the maximum permitted levels, prompting the recall.

The products were distributed to H-E-B in Texas and CVS in multiple states, including Florida, California, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Missouri.

Perrigo emphasized that no adverse health events have been reported related to this issue. However, the company noted that infants with impaired renal function or other health vulnerabilities might be at higher risk of complications if exposed to excessive vitamin D levels.

Parents and caregivers who purchased the affected formula are advised to check the lot codes on the packaging and cease using the product immediately.

The recalled lot codes for H-E-B are T11LMXC (use by 11NOV2025) and T09LMXC (use by 09NOV2025).

For CVS, the recalled lot code is T11LMYC (use by 11NOV2025).

Consumers are urged to report any symptoms their infants may experience to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.

For further inquiries, Perrigo Consumer Affairs can be contacted at 1-800-538-9543.

No other products or lot codes are impacted by this recall.
