SAN ANGELO, TX - The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow as no ticket matched all six numbers in the drawing held on August 20, 2024.
The winning numbers were 5, 20, 26, 49, 51, and the Mega Ball was 24. The Megaplier for the drawing was 4x.
In Texas, no one won the jackpot or the second-tier prize of $1 million, although there were other big winners. Two tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball, earning $10,000 each. However, these winners did not Megaply, so their winnings remained at $10,000.
Additionally, 23 Texas players who matched four of the five white balls without the Mega Ball received $500 each, with 50 of these winners Megaplying their winnings to $2,000. In total, 31,728 winning tickets were sold in Texas for this drawing.
As no one claimed the grand prize, the estimated jackpot for the upcoming drawing on August 23, 2024, has risen to $527 million, with a cash option of $261.9 million.
