Texan Claims $29 Million Lotto Texas Jackpot, Plans to ‘Retire and Enjoy’

AUSTIN, TX – An Austin resident has claimed a Lotto Texas jackpot prize worth an estimated annuitized $29 million for the drawing held on June 24, 2024.

By selecting the cash value option, the claimant received $16,643,761.41 before taxes.

The winning Quick Pick ticket matched all six numbers drawn (11-21-25-30-32-50). It was purchased at Salt Springs Xpress, located at 8101 Salt Springs Drive (Suite A), in Austin. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The winner discovered the jackpot-winning ticket while off from work, describing the experience as “very excited, but normal and down to earth” and decided to enjoy the rest of the day off.

Previously, the claimant had won “small cash prizes” from other lottery games. With the Lotto Texas jackpot winnings, they plan to “retire and enjoy the rest of my life.”

Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from one to 54, offering multimillion-dollar jackpots.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:12 p.m.

For $1 more per play, a player can select the Extra! add-on feature to win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes.

More information about playing Lotto Texas and the Extra! add-on feature can be found here.
