LAREDO, TX — A woman who had been reported missing in Michigan was found walking barefoot with her baby on a ranch in South Texas by Border Patrol agents Saturday, July 6, 2024, according to the United States Border Patrol.

The woman and infant were discovered by agents from the Laredo North Border Patrol Station near the Interstate 35 checkpoint. The pair had been reported missing three days earlier to police in the town of Wyoming, Michigan.

The woman reportedly stated she ran out of gas while traveling to South Padre Island.
