Drama erupted at the 2023 Texas State FFA Convention this week when allegations of a rigged officer election circulated among students, causing the incident to go viral.
In the video provided below, one concerned student bravely confronted the student FFA officers regarding what they perceive as a rigged election.
According to the students, a group of parents and ag teachers allegedly organized a clandestine meeting to pre-determine the individuals who would be selected for the upcoming officer positions.
Traditionally, the FFA election system grants authority to the students to oversee the election process. However, the students argue that the existence of secret meetings, covert handshakes, and undisclosed phone conversations from parents to Ag teachers compromised the integrity of the election.
The convention will continue this afternoon. It is likely this topic will be brought up once again in that meeting.
