Chevy Awards Fearless Teen Driver in Tornado New Truck Following Viral Video

ELGIN, TX – Chevrolet announced on Thursday that they will be giving the teen that drove through the Texas tornado a brand new Silverado.

As seen across social media, Riley Leon, 16, of Elgin, was caught on camera driving through a tornado. During the drive, Leon's truck was spun around multiple times before landing upright in the borrow ditch. Watch the video below.

After the video went viral, Leon became famous and appeared on a number of shows. But the real award paid off on Mar. 24 after Chevrolet confirmed that they would be gifting the 16-year-old a new Silverado.

The new set of wheels came from Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet.
