Security Threat In Sonora Delays Wednesday Start

SONORA, TX- According to a Facebook post by Sonora ISD, the Sonora Secondary School is experiencing a security threat.

The Sonora Independent School District and local law enforcement are taking all precaution necessary.

All Sonora schools will have a delayed start on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 and begin at 10:00 a.m.

Yesterday, Sonora ISD posted that the Sonora Police Department and the Sutton County Sheriff's Office were asked to perform a security check with the Secondary Sonora Campus. After the completion of the check, the school was confident that all safety measures were effectively in place and all safety protocols were properly followed.

Sonora ISD then assured that all students at Sonora ISD were safe and the school day went on as usual.
