Cross Plains Residents Natural Gas Supply Dangerously Low

CROSS PLAINS, TX -- As the inclement weather continues impacting communities across the state, Cross Plains businesses are being asked to close in order to help conserve natural gas.

In a Facebook post, city officials asked non-essential businesses to either close or turn the thermostat down to 50 degrees.

According to officials, it "...is likely that the entire community could experience an outage of natural gas if demand is not lessened on the system."

Additionally, churches are asked to suspend services on Sunday, February 14 in order to decrease demand.

Residents are also asked to turn down their thermostats to 60-65 degrees.
