Wildfire Scorches Ranchland Near March Road

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A massive wildfire started near March road on Saturday.

According to the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department, on August 16, 2020, Grape Creek Firefighters, along with Carlsbad, Water Valley, Quail Valley, and Dove Creek VFDs, Texas and U.S. Forest Service crews, responded to a large grass fire off of March Rd. At the Tom Green/Coke County line.

The wildfire is now 100% contained.

Citizens may still see some smoke coming from the area, but shouldn’t be alarmed as crews will be monitoring fire lines over the next few days.
