11-Year-Old Girl Killed in a House Fire

 

CLYDE, TX – An 11-year-old girl was killed Tuesday afternoon during a house fire on the access road of I-20 in Clyde, TX. 

According to KTXS, on June 23, firefighters with the Clyde Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a home off the north I-20 access road just outside Clyde city limits for the report of a structure fire. 

When crews arrived at around 3 p.m., they found a home that was engulfed in flames and filled with smoke. An 11-year-old girl  was inside when the fire started and had been pulled out by a bystander and a police officer. 

They were already giving her CPR when crews arrived on scene. She was then rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

It is unclear at this time how the fire started.
