Burglarized Veteran Asking for Public’s Help

BROWNWOOD, TX – 74-year-old veteran Ron Moore is seeking the public’s help in locating his belongings that were stolen out of a rental truck on Tuesday morning.

According to KTXS, Moore is preparing to move to Montana and was devastated to learn that everything that had marked the last 50 years of his life had vanished. In his lifetime Moore has served as an ordained minister, drug counselor, builder, missionary and Marine helicopter pilot.

"It's my life, by the time I was 18 until now, it represents everything I've accomplished," said Moore, “There is zero value to someone else, but it's priceless to me.”

"I've just had 50 years of my life ripped out of my heart," Moore said.

Moore is a father to four children and a grandfather to 9 and wishes he has something to leave them to remember him by. With the theft, Moore lost documents, diplomas, certifications, and photographs.

"After I'm gone, they can say, 'Look, Grandpa or Daddy did this,'" said Moore, "I have no documented proof of anything I've done.”

Moore has offered a reward of $1,000 to anyone that can return all of his items. Moore explained that he doesn’t have much money, but that he can provide the reward with no questions asked.

If anybody knows anything about where Moore's items could be, they are asked to call his family at 817-965-6472.
