Pipeline Explosion in Midland County

 

MIDLAND, TX — Authorities are on scene of a pipeline explosion in Midland County, according to CBS 7.

The Midland County Sheriff’s Office released in a post, “Major fire on South FM 1379 south of E Hwy 158. Please avoid this area while public safety personnel perform their duties.”

TxDOT released an alternate route: “FM 1379 detours: Traffic needing to access FM 1379 east off 158 take: SH 158 to FM 137 to FM 2401 to RM 1357 to FM 1379. Traffic on FM 1379 trying to access SH 158 take: FM 1379 to RM 1357 to FM 2401 to SH 137 and back to SH 158. No timeline on re-opening.”

There has not been updates on injuries or the cause of the pipeline explosion.
