SAN MARCOS, TX -- (Press Release) The City of San Marcos is confirming the identities of three of the victims from the apartment fire. According to San Marcos Director of Communications Kristy Stark, the deceased are:
- Haley Michele Frizzell, 19, of San Angelo;
- 21-year-old David Ortiz of Pasadena and
- 20-year-old Dru Estes of San Antonio.
Stark says identification is pending for James Miranda, 23, of Mount Pleasant.

Listed as still missing is 21-year-old Belinda Moats of Big Wells.
The deadly fire occurred at the Iconic Village and Vintage Pads apartments in San Marcos.
The San Marcos Fire Marshal’s Office, in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives National Response Team and the State Fire Marshal’s office, will continue investigation operations at the scene throughout the week. Once the scene has been processed and cleanup efforts begin, the investigation could continue for months.
