Tubing Outfitters in Central Texas Opening Just in Time for Spring Break

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX-- Come Friday afternoon, students will begin the week-long spring break.

That means they will flock to various locations like South Padre Island or Port Aransas where they can escape from school, work or both.

Maybe some students will not have the time or money to make a trek like that. Maybe the idea of a week long bender jam packed with cold beverages and rap music isn't the idea crossing the minds of some students. Maybe some families with high school students are looking for a family-friendly "day-cation" that doesn't break the bank.

There's good news for those looking for a last second spring break getaway. Tubing outfitters are opening up beginning this week. Here's a list of the hill country outfitters opening up this week and for spring break, provided by MySanAntonio.com:

• Rio Guadalupe Resort: 14130 River Road, New Braunfels, TX. Opening March 9 for spring break.
• Rockin 'R' River Rides: 1405 Gruene Road, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Rockin 'R' River Rides also opens on March 9.
• Texas State Tubes: 2024 N. Old Bastrop Highway, San Marcos, TX 78666. Texas State Tubes begins its season on March 10.
• Seguin Tubes: 2006 Stockdale Highway, Seguin, TX 78155. Seguin Tubes will be open for spring break March 10-17.
