Alpine Student in Custody for Making Threats to School

 

ALPINE, TX — Alpine ISD and the Brewster County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a student at an Alpine School made a verbal threat.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the student made the threat regarding an Alpine school on Thursday. The School Resource Office heard about the threat, began investigating and took the student into custody. Authorities say that there is no evidence of any other students involved in this threat.

“We thank the community for their interest in this matter and want to assure parents, students, and staff that the brief incident has been resolved,” the BCSO shared in a statement.

The student in custody has not been identified at this time.
