Have You Been Scammed?

MERTZON, TX – The Irion County Sheriff's Department issued a warning last week that the area had multiple people receiving calls from individuals claiming to work for Dish TV, a satellite television company.  The individuals claiming to be from Dish TV were asking for social security numbers and pin numbers, according to the Irion County Sheriff.

The Irion County Sheriff's Department warns that these calls are from scammers and not to give them the personal information.  Be on the look out San Angelo and other nearby Texas areas for the scammers to target you next.

As always, be smart and safe.  Legitimate companies will not your home and ask for personal, confidential information over the phone.
