Texas DPS Trooper Recovers Missing California Juvenile in Pecos County

 

PECOS COUNTY, TX - This evening, Sgt. Justin Baker, with the Texas Department of Public Safety in San Angelo, reported that a DPS trooper recovered a missing California juvenile last night after a traffic stop on IH 10, at mile marker 286, in Pecos County.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. CST, this DPS Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a black BMW passenger vehicle for a traffic violation.

"During contact with the occupants, the trooper identified a young female and confirmed she was a 17-year-old missing juvenile from Gridley, California," said Sgt. Baker. "DPS Special Agents also assisted in this investigation, and the juvenile was transported to the Fort Stockton Juvenile Detention Center."

Sgt. Baker added that the other occupants were interviewed and released.
