U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, at the Del Rio Port of Entry, seized more than 200 pounds of alleged cocaine concealed in a commercial shipment.

According to a press release, on June 28, CBP officers at the Del Rio Port of Entry inspected a 1998 Kenworth tractor-trailer, carrying a load of ceramic roof tiles, as it arrived in the United States from Mexico. During inspection, officers discovered 94 packages hidden within the flatbed trailer. CBP officers seized a total of 236 pounds of alleged cocaine, valued at $1,829,880.

CBP seized the narcotics along with the tiles and trailer. The ongoing investigation into the narcotics shipment is being conducted by Homeland Security Investigations special agents.
