OZONA – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Region 4 Commander Carey Matthews and DPS Driver License Division Assistant Director Joe Peters were joined today by Crockett County Judge Fred Deaton for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Ozona Driver License Office. The office, which will be open three days a week, replaces a former facility that closed in 2010.
“DPS is committed to serving area residents at this new facility now and in the future, and I want to thank all the hardworking individuals – both at the state and local levels – who made this project possible,” said Commander Matthews.
“I know that Crockett County residents welcome this new driver license office to Ozona, and we are excited to see the completion of this important project, which will benefit the residents of this area,” said Judge Deaton.
“DPS is proud to be a part of the Ozona community, and this new driver license office will help provide area Texans with easier access to services they need,” said Assistant Director Peters.
The Ozona office is located at 1503 Monterrey Street, Ozona, Texas, 76943. The office will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, driver license customers can visit the Sonora Office located at 102 N. Water Avenue, Sonora, Texas, 76950, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
