Angelo State Softball Earns No. 3 Seed in the LSC Tournament

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State softball team will be the No 3 seed in this week's Lone Star Conference Tournament.

The Rambelles, who finished the regular season with a 43-12 overall record and a 32-8 record in LSC play, will open action at 11 a.m. Thursday in Canyon against No. 6 seed Lubbock Christian (28-22, 24-16 LSC).

The winner of ASU-LCU will play the winner of No. 2 UT Tyler and No. 7 St. Mary's in the semifinals Friday, while the championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.

LSC regular-season champion West Texas A&M is the No. 1 seed and will play the winner of No. 4 Oklahoma Christian and No. 5 Texas A&M-Kingsville.

The winner of this week’s event will be named the LSC Softball Tournament champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2026 NCAA Division II Softball Regional Championship.

Regardless of what happens this weekend, the Belle are in strong position to earn an at-large bid to the eight-team regional tournament. They were No. 3 in last week’s regional rankings.
