No. 10 Angelo State Hits the Road to Face Texas A&M-Kingsville
SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State heads back on the road this weekend for a Lone Star Conference doubleheader against Texas A&M-Kingsville, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Rambelles enter the matchup coming off a sweep of UT Dallas, rallying for a 7-4 win in the opener before taking an 8-3 victory in the second game. Angelo State erased a four-run deficit in Game 1 and scored in five of six innings in Game 2.

Scouting Report: Texas A&M-Kingsville
Texas A&M-Kingsville enters the weekend with a 17-11 overall record and a 12-6 mark in conference play. The Javelinas are 7-3 at home and sit sixth in the Lone Star Conference standings.
Offensively, Kingsville is batting .314 as a team and averaging 6.6 runs per game. Victoria Vargas leads the lineup with a .418 batting average and a .510 on-base percentage, while Dakota Martinez has six home runs and 26 RBIs.
The Javelinas’ pitching staff holds a 4.27 ERA with 128 strikeouts in 190 innings. Andrea Martinez, the reigning Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week, is 6-6 with a 3.06 ERA and has recorded 69 strikeouts in 84⅔ innings.
Angelo State leads the all-time series 61-19 and swept a doubleheader against Texas A&M-Kingsville earlier this season in San Angelo, winning 6-2 and 6-5.
Zoey Sifuentes has been one of Angelo State’s top contributors this season, earning four Lone Star Conference weekly awards, including three Freshman of the Week honors and one Hitter of the Week selection. She ranks among conference leaders in several categories, including doubles, RBIs, slugging percentage and batting average.
Senior outfielder Tatiana Trotter, the Lone Star Conference preseason offensive player of the year, is coming off a season in which she hit .330 with 14 home runs and 47 RBIs. She was also named a Golden Glove winner and a third-team Academic All-American.
