Angelo State Belles Play Texas A&M-Kingsville in Back-to-Back Matchups
SAN ANGELO, TX — For the first and only time during the 2025–26 season, the Angelo State Rambelles will face the same opponent twice in the same week as they square off against Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas in a home-and-away Lone Star Conference series.
The Rambelles will host the Javelinas at the Junell Center–Stephens Arena at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday before traveling to Kingsville for the rematch at 1 p.m. Saturday.
ASU split its two home games last week, opening with a 76–67 loss to UT Permian Basin before rebounding with a 63–49 victory over UT Dallas in the first meeting between the programs. Taylor Grona, Majik Esquivel, Keniah Williams and Landry Morrow all scored in double figures against the Comets.

The Rambelles erased an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Javelinas last season, led by Madeline Stephens’ game-high 22 points. Williams and Esquivel added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Texas A&M–Kingsville enters the week with a 3–11 overall record and a 3–5 mark in conference play. After starting the season 0–9, the Javelinas have won three of their last five games. Most recently, they split a home-and-home series with Texas A&M International, losing 73–71 at home before responding with a 69–52 road victory.
Offensively, TAMUK averages 55.4 points per game while shooting 39.6 percent from the field, 28.2 percent from 3-point range and 68.1 percent from the free-throw line. Kaycee Groves leads the team at 9.7 points per game, followed by Addisyn Parker at 8.0.
Defensively, the Javelinas allow 62.1 points per game on 40.1 percent shooting and average 34.7 rebounds per contest. Thalia Daniels leads the team on the glass at 6.2 rebounds per game.
