Angelo State Belles Put Win Streak to the Test

SAN ANGELO, TX —  Fresh off a successful two-game sweep in Oklahoma, the Angelo State women’s basketball team returns home this week for a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups at the Junell Center–Stephens Arena. The Rambelles will host UT Permian Basin on Tuesday, Jan. 13, before welcoming UT Dallas on Thursday, Jan. 15. Tipoff for both games is set for 5:30 p.m.

Shannon employees and their immediate families will receive free admission to both doubleheaders by presenting their Shannon ID badge.

Angelo State (4-8, 2-4 LSC) is carrying momentum into its homestand after sweeping Cameron and Oklahoma Christian on the road. At Cameron Majik Esquivel scored 27 points and Taylor Grona added 24 as ASU outscored the Aggies 45–23 in the second half to win 78–57. Then at Oklahoma Christian, Esquivel delivered a career-high 38 points to propel the Rambelles to a 76–64 victory.
