Meet the Wall Hawks: Kellan Oliver and Reid Robertson

WALL, TX — The No. 2 Wall Hawks host the Grape Creek Eagles for senior night on Friday, October 24. The Hawks are perfect (8-0) so far this season, and their explosive offense is a big reason for that. Meet wide receiver Reid Robertson and two-way player Kellan Oliver. Two pieces on this roster that help make this explosive machine run.

Reid Robertson is a senior wide receiver for the Wall Hawks, who is an integral piece in the Hawks' passing attack. Robertson leads the team with 36 catches for 812 yards and 12 touchdowns. As Wall's true No. 1 wide receiver, the 6'2" senior averages 101.5 yards per game so far this season. He's received offers to play at the next level, most notably from the Angelo State Rams.

He's already on pace to beat last year's impressive stats, where he almost eclipsed 1,000 yards for the year as a junior. Robertson is a multi-sport athlete who continues to compete at a high level. Last school year, he finished runner-up in the state in the 4x200-meter relay and 4th in the 4x11-meter relay. He also garnered All-State honors last football season.

Kellan Oliver is also one of the senior leaders on the Hawks. He is a 2-way player who plays wide receiver and cornerback for the Hawks. The 6'2" senior is the second leading receiver for Wall, hauling in 29 catches for 415 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, Oliver has two interceptions, four passes defended, two tackles for loss, and nine total tackles on the year.

As good as Oliver is at football, it isn't necessarily his best sport. Another multi-sport athlete, Oliver won the 3A-Div II Baseball State Championship in June with the Hawks. His baseball talents allowed him to commit to Odessa College to play baseball after graduating.

Wall has put together a monster athletics program over the past decade. It is a credit to the coaching staff that keeps these boys involved. Wall currently sits at No. 2 in the 3A-DIV II state rankings and has a legitimate shot to take home a football state title at Cowboys' stadium in December.

Kickoff in Friday's matchup with Grape Creek is slated for 7 p.m.
