Wall Hawks Hungry for a State Title

WALL, TX — The No. 2-ranked Wall Hawks battled through the gauntlet that is the Texas high school baseball playoffs and are one win away from their ultimate goal — a state championship.

Wall squares off with Thrall in Round Rock at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Dell Diamond for a one-game, winner-take-all matchup to determine who is the king of 3A Division II baseball.

Last weekend, the Hawks claimed victory in a three-game series over Boyd to punch their ticket to the state finals. Now, Wall faces Thrall in what will be the final test in what has been an incredibly successful season.

Head coach Jeremy Gordon took time during practice earlier this week to give his thoughts on his team's chances and what he expects from his opponents on Thursday:
