COVER1: 65th Annual San Angelo Relays

SAN ANGELO, TX—The 65th Annual San Angelo Relays kicked off on Friday, March 22, at San Angelo Stadium. The two-day meet will run through Saturday night, March 23. Day 1 consisted of all the preliminary races and field events. Seventy-six teams from around Texas gathered at the stadium on Friday to compete in one of the state's oldest and most prominent competitions.

We had plenty of local representation from around the Concho Valley, from San Angelo area schools like the Central Bobcats and Lady Cats and the Lake View Chiefs and Maidens to the surrounding areas around San Angelo like Wall, Reagan County, Sonora, Ozona, and Christoval.

The COVER1 Crew was at San Angelo Stadium for most of the day to bring the action to everyone in the San Angelo area. We included several interviews with Concho Valley participants after their respective events in our coverage of today's action. We even tracked down the Christoval Lady Cougars' Head Track coach during her busy day to have her give us her thoughts on the competition.

Day 2 begins at San Angelo Stadium on Saturday, March 22, at 9:30 a.m. We would like to thank our friends at Angelo Bolt for sponsoring all the coverage of our local student-athletes who are competing at the 65th Annual San Angelo Relays.
