WATCH: #6 Wall Hawks Show Dominance in Week One

WALL, TX – The number six ranked Wall Hawks started the 2023 season in the win column after displaying dominance against the Eastland Mavericks. The Hawks claimed victory in Wall on Friday, August 25, 35-10.

The game was a runaway from the beginning. Wall jumped out to a 14-point lead early in the first half. One of those touchdowns came from Sophomore running back Hagyn Barbee.

However, a fumble for the Hawks caused a disruption in their otherwise perfect game. The Mavericks took advantage and punched the ball into the end zone. The score at halftime ended at 21-10.

The second half belonged to Wall. The defense pitched a shutout, and the offense continued without missing a beat behind junior QB Gunnar Dillard. The game finished with a score of 35-10.
