2-A-Days: Wall Hawks Begin Workouts Strong

WALL— The Wall Hawks started things off this morning with the first day of 2-a-Days. Head Coach Houston Guy will need to have his team ready as they prepare for a deep playoff run yet again. Last season, the Hawks were sent packing by the Canadian Wildcats in the fourth round of the playoffs.

Offensively, quarterback Gunner Dillard really took strides last year to become a better option quarterback. Senior running back Nathan Pepper was a 1,000 yard back last season and will look to replicate that this year. There are too many other players who will contributed this season to list but Garrett Guy, Luke Kemp, Canyon McCabe, Matthew Steen, Landon Beeles, and Haygen Barbee look to make an impact.

Up front, it is not a secret the Hawks lack size and some defensive exclusive guys last season may need to step up on the other side of the ball this year. Lee Brake and Kirkland Pritz return but others are needed.

Over on the defensive side, the Hawks bring the pain with an overwhelming defense. Reigning COVER1 Defensive Player of the Year Brylan White, who had a huge year last season, will look to continue his warpath. This defense is loaded with talent outside of White. Again, there are too many to name but, in addition to some of the guys already named on the offense who play both ways, the Hawks have Briggs Jones, Ryan Allen, Will Scherr, Logan Thomas, Ethan Michalewicz, Mason Snowden, Lane Stansberry, and many more.

The one thing that will be vital to replace is the leadership that graduated. Former Hawks like Caleb Valles and Jayden Sellers were big time players and leaders. The good thing is that Wall won't lack players stepping up into those roles.
