According to Sic'em 365, Williams (6-4, 260 offensive lineman) was the 11th commitment to Baylor's 2021 class. Williams saw offers from Rutgers, UTSA, Texas State, Abilene Christian along with interests from Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Outside of his size and ability to play the game, it was his wingspan and size of his hands that caught the attention of the Baylor staff. Tate's hands measured from pinky to thumb at 11 inches paired with a 6'9'' wingspan.

Watch as Williams talks about his decision to verbally commit to Baylor, the unique attribute that compares him to one of the best players in the NBA and his thoughts on an upcoming season.

Williams will also compete in track and field at Baylor and plans to study business and financial management with a minor in real estate.
