COVER1: Concho Valley Volleyball Heads to the Playoffs

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Volleyball regular season is in the books, and now teams across the Concho Valley gear up for the annual playoff push. There are two teams from San Angelo who made it to the playoffs this season, plus many more around the greater Concho Valley Area.

Check out the playoff schedule below:

6A 

 San Angelo Central Lady Cats (32-10)(7-3)

The Lady Cats finished their 2023 campaign with a 32-10 overall record. These ladies finished Little Southwest Conference play with a 7-3 mark, good enough for second place overall. Central will travel to Monohans on Monday, October 30, to play El Paso Franklin at 6:30 p.m.

3A

Wall Lady Hawks (31-11)(9-2)

The Lady Hawks enter the playoffs this season as the second seed in their district. It took a tie-breaker on Saturday against Clyde to determine this district champion. Unfortunately for the Lady Hawks, they fell in that contest to the Lady Bulldogs and finished second overall. The Lady Hawks play their bi-district matchup against the Llano Lady Yellowjackets on Monday, October 30, in Brownwood at 7:30 p.m.

TLCA San Angelo Lady Eagles (11-19)(4-6)

The Lady Eagles secured fourth place in a tough district alongside Clyde, Wall, and Jim Ned this season. TLCA heads into the bi-district round of the playoffs on Tuesday, October 31, against Blanco in Brady. The game will start at 6:30 p.m.

2A

Miles Lady Bulldogs (28-9)(8-1)

The Lady Bulldogs won their district this season and took the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs. Miles will play Coleman on Monday, October 30, at Brady High School at 6 p.m.

Sonora Lady Broncos (30-7)(7-2)

The Lady Broncos finished in second place in their district this season behind Miles. Sonora will play Bangs on Tuesday, October 31, at the Junell Center in San Angelo at 7 p.m.

Water Valley Lady Wildcats (22-14)(4-4)

The Lady Wild Cats finished third in their district this season and snagged a playoff spot with a 4-4 record in district play. The ladies head to Snyder on Tuesday, October 31, to play the Albany Lady Lions at 7 p.m.

Reagan County Lady Owls

The Lady Owls travel to Fort Stockton on Tuesday, October 31, to play Wink at 6 p.m.

Sterling City Lady Eagles

The Lady Eagles head out to Monohans on Tuesday, October 31, to play Ft. Hancock. The game starts at 5 p.m.

Bronte Lady Longhorns (25-11)(3-1)

The Lady Longhorns are 2023 District Champions and receive a first-round bye in the 1A playoffs this season.

Veribest Lady Falcons (25-9)(3-1)

The Lady Falcons finished as runners-up in district play against the Bronte Lady Longhorns. The Lady Falcons will play Iraan in Iraan on Tuesday, October 31, at 6 p.m.
