Central High School Introduces Fall Programs at Meet the Bobcats

SAN ANGELO, TX — Fans received a first look at the 2023 Bobcats Football team, cheerleaders, Tex-Anns, the Mighty Bobcat Band, and all other fall sports teams at Meet the Bobcats on Saturday night, August 12. Held at San Angelo Stadium, fans from around the city showed up to meet and cheer on all the fall athletic programs that Central High School offers in 2023.

Athletic Director and Head Football Coach introduced the event before presenting his Varsity football team. Each program’s coach followed Coach Crane with their list of athletes. Some coaches listed all the accomplishments that some athletes achieved last season. The football, volleyball, tennis, cross country, and swimming teams were announced. In addition, the football operations staff, the athletic trainers, cheerleaders, Tex-Anns, and the Mighty Bobcat Band received recognition from everyone in attendance.

The Bobcats’ cheerleaders and Tex-Anns performed during Meet the Bobcats, and the Band played for the crowd before everyone left San Angelo stadium. This event usually precedes the annual Football Intrasquad Scrimmage, but due to the blistering West Texas heat, the event was moved after the scrimmage. Central also introduced members of the Little Bobcat Club. The kids ran through the Bobcats' tunnel to cheering fans.
