Angelo State Volleyball Ranked No. 21 in AVCA Preseason Coaches’ Poll

LEXINGTON, KY — Angelo State Volleyball will begin the 2026 season ranked No. 21 in the nation, the American Volleyball Coaches Association preseason poll announced on Monday.

The Belles are the second-highest-ranked team from the Lone Star Conference and the third-highest-ranked program in the South Central Region. West Texas A&M is the top-ranked LSC team, while MSU Denver enters the season ranked No. 3 nationally to lead the region.

Three of Angelo State's opponents this season are also ranked in the preseason poll. MSU Denver is No. 3, West Texas A&M is No. 19 and Bentley is No. 22.

Angelo State enters the season after finishing 26-8 in 2025. The Belles won both the Lone Star Conference regular-season and tournament championships before advancing to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional final, where they lost to eventual national champion MSU Denver.

The Belles open the 2026 season at home Friday, Aug. 28, by hosting the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena. Angelo State will face East Central, Fort Lewis, MSU Moorhead and CSU Pueblo during the two-day tournament.
