Falcons' Bijan Robinson Signs 3-Year, $75 Million Deal

ATLANTA, GA — Former Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a three-year contract extension worth up to $75 million, making Robinson the highest-paid running back in NFL history, according to ESPN.

The deal includes $51 million in guaranteed money and keeps Robinson under contract with Atlanta through the 2030 season. The agreement also ends the two-time Pro Bowler's weeklong hold-in during training camp.

Robinson's average annual salary of $22.25 million surpasses the previous record held by Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles, who earns $20.6 million per season.

Following news of the extension, Robinson shared a message on social media thanking God and expressing appreciation for the Falcons organization and the city of Atlanta.

The 24-year-old led the NFL with 2,298 scrimmage yards last season and ranked fourth in rushing with 1,478 yards. His 93-yard touchdown run against the Los Angeles Rams was the league's longest rushing touchdown of the 2025 season.

Atlanta has spent the offseason extending several key offensive players, including wide receiver Drake London, tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. and left guard Matthew Bergeron.

Selected eighth overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, Robinson has rushed for 3,910 yards on 805 carries and added 1,738 receiving yards on 198 receptions in three seasons. He has scored 34 total touchdowns during his career and is expected to remain a central part of Atlanta's offense under Stefanski and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
