Angelo State Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team

TEMPE, AZ — The Angelo State women's tennis team was recognized for its success in the classroom Tuesday as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association named the Rambelles an ITA All-Academic Team and honored seven players as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

To earn ITA All-Academic Team recognition, a program must post a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.2 during the academic year. Individual players must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.

Angelo State's seven ITA Scholar-Athletes are Anastasiia Melnikova, Margaux Rene, Jade Bestagno, Benedetta Raggiotti, Sasa Felixova, Danaiya Amangazhiyeva and Anna Waché.

The Rambelles have earned ITA All-Academic Team honors every season since the program was reinstated in 2017-18.

Since the program's return, Angelo State women's tennis players have received ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition 44 times over the past nine seasons.
