Concho Valley Athletes Qualify for High School Rodeo State Finals

 

ABILENE, TX — Numerous Concho Valley athletes will represent our area at the Texas High School Rodeo Association State Finals, which begin this week.

The event will be held June 4-13 at the Taylor Telecom Arena, 1700 State Highway 36, in Abilene.

Awards, scholarships and the opportunity to represent Texas at the National High School Finals Rodeo will be on the line.

Among the notable past champions are Decatur’s John Crimber, the reigning Professional Bull Riders world champion who won the Texas high school title in 2023.

The top 10 competitors in each of Texas’ 10 regions qualify for the state finals.

The rodeo will be broadcast live on the Cowboy Channel.
